Once you are at the DNS settings you should find the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server settings. Not sure what else would be useful to diagnose this issue. Please bring back the old Android helper scripts until Wireguard is more stable. (I'm still using Strongswan for Linux as well, due to the same problem).
